About
I am a PhD student in Computer Science at the University of Virginia, advised by Prof. Aidong Zhang. My research spans vision, language, and robustness — in particular, understanding and mitigating spurious biases in multimodal large language models, and using sparse autoencoders to make model internals interpretable and faithful. I collaborate closely with researchers at UVA, UIUC, Georgia Tech, Waymo, and Amazon AGI.
Before UVA, I completed my BS and Master of Computer Science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, receiving the Bronze Tablet Award (see the actual tablet; where the tablet locates). As an undergrad I researched urban scene inverse rendering with Prof. Shenlong Wang's group (UrbanIR), and mixed-reality structural monitoring with the Illinois Space Grant Consortium.
